Dolly On a class field trip to a farm, a farmer tells you that he has a new species of chicken and shows you the chicken in the picture above. The chicken has all blue feathers and is larger than normal white chickens. The farmer plans to make money selling the blue eggs that it layed after it mated with a white chicken. You tell the farmer that is actually not a new species. Who is right?

Select one:

The blue chicken is a not new species because it was able to reproduce with a white chicken.

There is not enough information to determine whether the blue chicken is a different species.

The blue chicken is not a new species because the only difference is the color of its feathers and its larger size.

The blue chicken is a new species because it has different characteristics than a white chicken.

Animal bodies (and even plant bodies for that matter) are complex enough that life couldn't exist without enzymes. enzymes are usually large, complex biological catalysts that are expensive to make. enzymes speed up the rate of chemical reactions without being used up during the reaction (they can be reused many times). they are highly specific in the reactions they regulate. knowing what enzymes are and how they function, why does this explain why complex life forms could not exist if there were no enzymes.
