Systolic blood pressure is dependent on the force and velocity of ventricular contraction (systole) and diastolic pressure dependent on the degree of vasodilation/constriction during ventricular relaxation (diastole). Explain this statement.

Blood pressure is the force applied on the walls of the blood vessels by the blood. This force is perpendicular. There is to part of blood pressure systolic and diastolic, a single heartbeat consists of one systole, the contraction, and one diastole, the relaxation.

The pressure applied on the blood vessels due to the contraction of the heart is systolic and due to the relaxation of the heart is diastolic blood pressure.

Systolic blood pressure is directly proportional to the velocity and force of contraction whereas diastolic is due to relaxation of the heart.

The highest point of blood pressure is measured at the end of the contraction that is systolic blood pressure and the minimum blood pressure is at end of relaxation that is diastolic blood pressure.
