How does the structure of smooth and cardiac muscle differ from the structure of skeletal muscle? The answer to this is that skeletal muscles have a nuclei at the edge of the muscle cells while cardiac and smooth muscles have centrally located nuclei. Since wouldn't let me answer this question I had to ask it.
