Briefly explain the role slavery played in the population growth of this period. 1660-1780

I think with the slaves entering the  New World, the population grew. The growing population of the New World also helped in developing the economy of the slave states. It also gave colonies more income. Having more people in the place allows them unlimited access to people who can work for them with fewer expenses, considering slaves were paid poorly during this time.
