Evidence used to support spontaneous generation was the observation that foods over time become covered in maggots or fungal and bacterial growth. the inference behind spontaneous generation is that there is no “parent” organism. write this inference as a hypothesis using an if–then sentence that suggests a way of testing it.

The theory of spontaneous generation suggested that life can just appear from nowhere because of observing maggots appearing on dead flesh. The hypothesis is: If maggots, fungal and bacterial growth on foods overtime indicate spontaneous generation and the idea there is no parent organism then all foods exposed to different conditions and chemicals should overtime become covered with maggots, fungal and bacterial growth.
