Knowing the position of an organ will help the surgeon in surgery, especially a minimal invasive which the visualization is minimal. When a bone is fractured, orthopedist needs to know the normal position of that bone so the patient can have normal condition again. 

To see a general view of a microscope slide, use low power. to see a more specific and detailed view, use high power.
