Though thermometers are used to measure temperature, there are different types of thermometers to measure specific temperatures.

Here are some types of thermometer with its specific temperature

1) Traditional thermometer - for home use. Measure air and water temperature both in °F and °C.

2) Resistance Thermometer - designed to measure temperatures between -250 and 700 °C.

3) Thermocouple Thermometer - notices the difference between hot and cold junctions through the current in the attached probes. This is a very sensitive model that can provide accurate temperature results between -250 and 1600 degrees Celsius.
