When energy-yielding nutrients are consumed in excess, which one(s) can lead to storage of fat?

Energy-yielding nutrients are nutritients that will provide you with energy need for your body to function. Energy-yielding nutrients are carbohydrates, fats and proteins. All of them provide your body with calories, but fats are the king of calories.

Carbohydrates are, which you obtained from foods like grains, fruits and vegetables, are easily converted to energy in your body.
Proteins are obtained mainly from animal based food (fish, meat, eggs), but also from some plants (grains).
Main function of the proteins is to build and repair tissue.
Fats help your body absorb some nutrients and produce important hormones. Fats can be obtained from olive oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, corn oil, nuts, seeds, and avocados, as well as  fish. Main function of the fats is to provide backup energy.
All of them provide your body with calories, but fats are the king of calories.So, consuming all of them, but mainly consuming fat in excess can lead to storage fat.
