The posterior part produces the following hormones to control following glands:

1) ADH (Vasopressin) : acts on kidney

2) Oxytocin : helps in birth of a child to by causing uterine muscle contraction during child birth. It is known as birth hormone. It also stimulates milk production in mammary glands.
