Some are caused by faulty genes, like Huntington’s disease or Muscular dystrophy. Others may be caused by degeneration, like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s. Disorders in children may be caused by problems with how the nervous system developed, like with spina bifida. Even others, like strokes or meningitis, can be caused by illness or injury.

Research one of the nervous system disorders you find on the website listed below, or any other that you find. Design a pamphlet or brochure about the disorder and one medication or treatment method used to help those that have the disorder. Include who can be affected by the disorder, how common or uncommon it is and how researchers think the medication or treatment will help.
