A science teacher claims to have invented a fan that will run forever, given a little bit of starting power. The fan consists of two sets of blades; the first set operates like a fan and the second acts like a wind turbine. When the fan is plugged in, the wind generated blows the turbine, which generates the electricity to run the fan, and so on. What will happen when the fan is unplugged? Will the fan run forever as claimed? Why or why not?
