scientists have created dogs that are twice as strong as they would be naturally, through genetic engineering of the myostatin protein. the myostatin protein inhibits muscle growth, deleting this gene allowed the dogs to grow more muscular. the process used on the dog embryos could help prevent some human genetic disorders that affect the muscles of humans, like muscular dystrophy (a degenerative muscle disorder) based on their success with the two dogs, scientists stated it was possible for humans to be similarly genetically modified
