The child can't look exactly like you, because we aren't bacteria. We can't make identical dna because it takes 2 to form a baby. The child would get dna from both parents, but that doesn't mean bot sets of genes dominates. Genes are slightly different from dna because only one can win. For example a brown eyes parent and a blue eyed parent have a baby. It is more likely they have a brown eyed child if the brown eyed parent's parents had brown eyes. Brown eyes are more dominant than blue eyes. I don't know how to clearly explain this.
