There are many essential life skills that we learn in our childhood. Life skills are occasionally described as learning to learn skills. There are 7 main life skills that we learn as kids, or should've learned as kids. These skills are focus and self-control, perspective-talking, communication, making connections, critical thinking, taking on challenges, and self-directed, engaged learning. Schedules, habits, and routines help children learn what self-control and focus it. Perspective talking is developing the ability to think from another persons POV. Communication is necessary as we need to be able to understand others as well as communicate with them. We need to be able to make connections with everyday things that we see, feel, hear, touch, etc, as well as developing critical thinking skills to analyze the complex world around us. Taking on challenges is possibly one of the most important skills we learn as children, as we need to learn how to bounce back from failure, learn, and keep trying. Self-Directed, engaged learning helps us become adults who are less bored in life as we have developed a love for learning.
