Read the paragraph below. Andrew is married to Alexis. They have 3 children. Anthony is the oldest child and is married to Audrey. Their youngest child, Allison, is married to Aiden. Their middle child is named Aaron. He is not married. Anthony and Audrey have 2 children, Ashley and Amy. Amy is the youngest. Aiden and Allison have 1 child, a boy named Alex. Alex is the only family member with a rare genetic disorder called Cystic Fibrosis. Children born with this disease create extra thick, sticky mucus in their lungs making it hard for them to breathe. Cystic Fibrosis is rare because it can only be inherited if both parents have the disease or both parents are carriers of the disease.
Open the slideshow and use the drawing tools to create a pedigree that illustrates the information above, including how Alex could have inherited Cystic Fibrosis. Add text boxes to label each symbol with the name of each family member. When finished, submit your pedigree.
