Starch ,as an example of Polysacchrides is made up of amylose and amylopectin.These two components are formed by condensation reaction between alpha1-4 -glucose molecules.The amylopectin chain are of shorter alpha-1.4 -glucose  chains and are branched compare to that of amylose which are longer.

Starch is stored  in plants cells ,and the equivalent in animal cells is glycogen.
