Whale sharks are the largest fish in the sea. They are sharks, but are considered to be “gentle giants.” Being filter filters, they swim with their mouths open wide, collecting plankton and small fish. They might grow to be 32.8 feet (m) in length and may weigh in at an enormous 42,200 pounds (kg).
