Q4) Explain the difference between mechanical and chemical digestion.

There are two methods in which your body uses to break down foods , They are ;

Chemical digestion Mechanical digestion

Explanation:

Mechanical digestion involves physical movement to make foods smaller. It  begins in the mouth as the food is chewed.

Chemical digestion uses enzymes to break down food. It involves breaking down the food into simpler nutrients that can be used by the cells .

This form of digestion begins in the mouth when food mixes with saliva
