1. Renewable resources are a type of natural resources that are replenished or reproduced by natural processes on a human time scale. Hence, they are inexhaustible as opposed to the Nonrenewable resources.

2. Nonrenewable resources are those resources that gets used up quickly than they can be replenished. Hence, they are exhaustible. These resources takes millions of years to form, and will take more to be replenished.

3. Both the renewable and Nonrenewable resources are found naturally i.e. they are exploited in their natural state, with no man forming them.

4. The Nonrenewable resources like crude oil, natural gas, coal etc. are found embedded in the Earth crust either in solid, liquid or gaseous form and are extracted by humans via MINING.

5. Renewable resources such as solar, wind, etc are increasingly used as sources of energy because of their eco-friendly characteristics. This means that they contribute less to emission of pollutants, that lead to global pollution. Hence, the reason renewable source of energy are called "Green or Clean" sources of energy.
