A student decides to investigate the effect of temperature on the rate of starch digestion by the enzyme amylase. The following equipment is available: iodine solution, 10% starch solution, 5% amylase solution, stopwatch, pipettes, spotting tiles, test tubes, water baths set at the temperatures 200C, 400C, 600C and 800C. Access to a tap is also possible.
