Explanation:during Respiration, air may be taken in or out of the lungs. in inspiration, air is taken into the lungs through the nostrils. From the nostrils the air goes into the pharnyx to the larynx. The larynx is called The voice box . The voice box leads to the trachea. The trachea is called the wind pipe and it connects to the bronchi. It is supported by rings of cartilages. The bronchi divides at it's end into two bronchioles,these bronchioles further divides into the aveoli. The aveoli is the part of the lungs where gaseous exchange takes place. Inspired air contains oxygen in high amount. The aveoli is filled with blood vessels. Oxygen is taken into the blood and binds with haemoglobin to form oxyhaemoglobin,which is transported to sites in the body that needs oxygen. Carbon dioxide diffuses out of the blood and is respired out. Expiration of air occurs from the aveoli to the bronchi to the trachea to the nostrils.
