All organisms have the same RNA at the beginning of development, but then the RNA changes over time to create new DNA for the differentiating characteristics.
Even in the early stages of development, these embryos are quite distinct from each other, indicating that life has changed over time to create this variety.
In the early stages of embryonic development, these four vertebrates are quite similar, indicating a possible common ancestor.
Late-stage embryonic development illustrates how, in spite of a common ancestor, each species has acquired differentiating characteristics over time that make each a unique species.
