Describe the composition and arrangement of lipids and proteins in the plasma membrane.

Plasma membrane is outermost layer in animals while, in plants it is covered by cell wall. It is composed mainly of lipids ( phospholipids and sterols) and proteins.

Arrangement:

Phospholipid form two layers called lipid bilayer. Head which are hydrophilic are well arranged and tails are hydrophobic. Proteins are embedded in between these layers.
