what effect would a drop in the size of the krill population have on the Antarctic food web and why?

If you take one link out of the anartic food chain, the rest would be  devastated. This isn't occuring in all systems, if other organisms on the same trophic level can't increase, the next trophic level won't be able to sustain their force of life because they don't have enough food.
