Pellets can be easily found and interpreted i.e. it gives a  full idea of the diet of the owls and also they tell us that which species live in that area on which owls prey. The pellets also give an idea about the variation in the diet of owls during the season & place which it visits. If we understand the changes in the diet of owls it will help in the conservation of ecosystems because the pattern in which they feed on their prey tells us how different species are thriving out there. The pellet of owl contains remains of prey so we can say that “the more an animal’s remains are found in the pellet the better balanced is the food chain in an ecosystem".
