The temperature of the spoons will get higher than their normal temperature. As the objects are placed in the hot water, the molecules in them moves fast resulting to a high temperature. Radiation happens when the energy coming from the heated objects are emitted outwards in the form of waves (electromagnetic waves). You will feel it if you move closer to the boiling pot or bowl. This could make the temperature in the surrounding environment higher.
