The brain performs the activity of processing the data that is being send to it from the various parts of the body.

The stimuli from the body is received by the thalamus part of the brain. It receives the sensory signals and passes it along the appropriate area of the cerebral cortex.

This further processes the signals and sends the response accordingly. So, it is the thalamus in the brain which sends the information for processing.
