What is the relationship among ribosomes, rough endoplasmic reticulum, golgi apparatus and the plasma membrane? how do they work together as a system?

Ribosomes, rough endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, and the plasma membrane are related to each other as they are responsible for the synthesis of proteins and transport of this protein into the plasma membrane called protein sorting.

Ribosomes are present on rough endoplasmic reticulum helps in the translation process to synthesize proteins on the rough endoplasmic reticulum then they are transferred to the Golgi apparatus.

Modification and processing of protein take place like glycosylation and packaging of proteins in secretory vesicles so that it can reach its final destination in the cell.

Then these secretory protein vesicles are sorted into the plasma membrane and the whole process is called protein sorting.
