As a cell becomes larger, it's volume increases to a certain point. why is there a limit!
on cell size?
it's surface area would double and the large size would cause it to swell.
having too large a size means the surface area stays the same and the cell
bursts.
having too large a size means that the surface area is too small to allow
materials to cross efficiently
too many organelles produce too much waste.
