Why do scientists publish their findings in scientific journals?

a) to analyze their own work
b) to be compensated for their work
c) to share their findings with others
d) to impress others with their findings

I think the answer is C because it makes most sense to me, A doesn't really seem like a reasonable answer, B and D also show that basically scientists work for their whole life just for money but not to help humanity and things like that.
