Why are chromosomes important to heredity?

Chromosomes contain genes which contain alleles, and these are basically traits (the phenotype). Heredity is the transfer of genes, and children get half the chromosomes from each parent.

Cell division is important to single celled organisms because it allows the cells to reproduce. through cell division, cells make exact copies of themselves. when single celled organisms go through cell division, they make exact copies of themselves which is how they reproduce.

Cbecause it is the only one describing a habitat
