Planarians are free-living flatworms that have a per simply life and body systems.They mostly live in freshwater, and scavengers or carnivores (but without teeth). They can be found in different parts of the world such as ponds, rivers and sometimes in salt water and terrestrial areas as well but they are most prevalent in fresh waters across the world.They have a unique ability to regenerate their missing body parts. For instance: a planarian whose body is broken crosswise ot lengthwise will regenerate two wholely  separate  and new organisms. About reproduction, it depend upon specie but both sexual and asexual reproductions have been seen in planarians. Some specie of planarians are hermaphrodites that means they contain  both male and female systems for gamete production. Hence,one of the gamete from them is combined with the opposite sex gamete of other planarian and leads to the development of egg inside the body.Some species of planaria are only sexual while others are only asexual too. And there are some that can reproduce through both ways (sexual and a sexual) when required.
