In passive transport, molecules move from a higher concentration to a lower concentration until the concentration of the molecule becomes equal on both the sides of the membrane. In contrast to this in active transport, the molecule moves from lower concentration to higher concentration which is reverse of the natural law and therefore require energy input from outside source.
