1) Motion of Amoeba under Microscope:

When observed under microscope, Amoeba look like colorless organisms that have a shape of jelly. While moving, it looks like it protrudes finger like and long projections (withdrawn and drawn) due to which its shape is changing. These finger like projection get longer and shorter when amoeba moves and changes shapes. We were not able to see organelles of the Amoeba but very small spots were seen and cytoplasm was stained lighter. The observations are quite in agreement with what we had studied about amoebic movement. They use pseudopodia (finger like projections) to move here and there. The pseudpodia also helps amoeba to get food because when a food particles comes infront, pseudopodia wraps itself around it, brings it in the cell and makes a food vacuoles to digest it.

Indeed movement of Amoeba is very fascinating.

2) Motion of Paramecia under Microscope:

When observed under microscope, paramecia look like a sea of small boat like structures. The whole body of paramecium is covered with thin thread like structures called cilia that are eating continuously like there is a motor moves. The movement of cilia impels the body of paramecia to move quickly to a position that is 4 times its body's length. The movement looks like propelling of a boat in water.

The observation is in accordance with what we had studied about movement of paramecium. The cilia move backward to move the paramecium forward and vice versa.

3) Motion of Euglena under Microscope

Euglena look like somewhat similar to paramecium in shape but the difference is there are not hundreds of cilia around the body but only one long whip like flagella at the posterior side of the body. Euglena moves itself by producing higher  and larger torques than those produced by Paramecium. They also look like a boat that is having a motor which propels them and shortens or elongates the body.

The observations match our studies about Euglena that they have a long thread like flagella that propels them in the water. They can also change the shape of their body just like amoeba although that change is more symmetrical. The motion of Euglena looks magnificent under microscope.
