Carbohydrates can be water solvent, lipids are not. In spite of the fact that a few proteins are enzymes, most are not and there are enzymes that are not proteins. Proteins can moreover be receptors, hormones, carriers, particle channels, and auxiliary agents. In spite of the fact that these substances are incredible sources of protein, they are not solely proteins. Meats, eggs, etc contain noteworthy sums of lipids, nucleic acids and carbohydrates as well, so they might be recorded in any of these categories. Nucleic acids are the building pieces of DNA and RNA. Sugars are the building pieces of carbohydrates, amino acids are the building pieces of proteins.
