Cellular organization- atoms into molecules, molecules into organelles, organelles into cells, and so on.
Reproduction- the offspring by a sexual or asexual process
Metabolism- the chemical processes that occur within a living organism in order to maintain life.
Homeostasis- the tendency toward a relatively stable equilibrium between interdependent elements.
Heredity- the passing on of mental or physical characteristics genetically from one generation to another.
Response to stimuli- something that can elicit or evoke a phycological response in a cell, tissue, or an organism.
Growth and development- long life process of physical, behavioral, cognitive, and emotional growth and change.
Adaption though evolution- organisms that possess heritable traits that enable them to better adapt to their environment compared with other members of their species will be more likely to survive, reproduce, and pass more of their species.
