Explain stages of cellular respiration

Cellular respiration allows things to convert their nutrients into ATP (energy). Take plants, for example. Plants use photosynthesis to make their nutrients such as glucose, but they must use another way to break down those nutrients into energy, and that is where cellular respiration comes into place.
