If a cell had a damaged central vacuole it would have difficulty performing what function

In animal cells, vacuoles are less important so the main problem would be trouble storing water. In plant cells however, they have an important role. If the vacuole was damaged in a plant cell, the turgor pressure (force that allows plant stems to stand upright) would be out of whack. The plant would become very limp and could die as a result.
