Why is musical notation important? what benefits do musicians and others receive from being able to write down and note aspects of a musical piece

Musical notation is important because it creates a base system, almost a language that other musicians can follow. So if you write down your music in a way that people can understand, it will be more likely played in the future.

My opinion is no it will not because i love music to much to just focas on something else.

Photography has changed its subject matter quite a lot over the past few years. in the 1800's, it was considered normal for families to have  post mortem photos of their loved ones, and now that would be completely unacceptable. i think that photographers have always pushed boundaries and have been eager to capture everything, it is just society that changes their boundaries.
