What is dry media? what are the advantages and disadvantages of using dry media?

Dry media in art is when any dry material is used, it can include charcoals, pastels, pencils, etc. Not things like paints, watercolors, etc.

Dry media material's advantages and disadvantages may include: 

Pencil: Great for quick sketches. Can be used for many uses; BUT, they smear.

Charcoal: Flexible; easy to work with and easy to use for starting artists. Great for any needed dark, bold markings. BUT, they smear.

Chalk: Gives life and adds bold color to the artpiece, BUT, also smears.

c, d, e, f, g, a, b, and c.

sometimes western music will also use solfege. the names of these are do ra me fa sol la si (or ti) and do.

to indicate a note a half step higher or lower then the original note, you would say c # (for a half a step above c) or bb (for half a step below b)

the amount of fabric used and the collar fitting and sleeve lenghts are the two options, that to me, make the most sense.
