7. What do you notice first when you look at the work? Why? I NOTICE THE OLD MAN AND THE YOUNG MAN PLAYING THE BANJO. THEY ARE THE FOCAL POINT OF THE PAINTING.
8. What kinds of colors do you see? How would you describe them? BLACK, WHITE, SHADES OF BLUE. GRADUAL COLORS. DARKER SHADE TO EMPHASIZE SHADOWS.

13. What is the overall visual effect or mood of the work(s)? ISOLATION. IT WOULD SEEM AS THOUGH THE CHARACTERS IN THE PAINTING ARE FOCUSED ON EACH OTHER AS THEY LEARN TO PLAY THE BANJO. THEY ARE I N THEIR OWN WORLD.
