In what career or other school subject area would understanding atmospheric perspective be useful. Why?

For example let’s say you want to work for NASA, you’d have to know the atmosphere and science in general to understand and be able to work there. Another example would be anything that had to do with fossil fuels and forests and recycling because you have to know what can and can’t be recycled in order to not affect global warming nor environment
