2.) how has one art element been used in the artwork? Sadness is one of the elements used. Here she purposely minimizes herself in this portrait of gravity and sadness.

Strands of her hair are everywhere and they surround her in the empty space that she seems to shrink into.She uses line, shape, color, texture, and space that come together to form the principles of design, which are the rhythm, emphasis, balance, variety, and unity.

In contrast to her typical self-portraits, she would fill up the canvas with boldness, colorful expressions, elaborateness.

She is holding scissors in her right hand which means she did it all by herself. In her left hand, she was holding her shorn hair which is a symbol of her sacrifice.  After the separation with Diego, Frida chooses to abandon her feminine image

        i think it is referred as the 8th wonder of the world because each of the terra cotta warriors was not the same. they each had many things with their physical stature, like different height, armor, and different characteristics, which were all different. what makes it interesting is that there were 8,000 soldiers in that tomb. so making that many soldiers for the emperor meant a-lot to the emperor. it means that their is strength in numbers now matter how different.
