The word diction means your choice of words. Even a subtle change in your diction can change what you say. Here's an example:

                                         "That train looks awful!"

This is a sentence will little diction. Diction is important due to homonyms and lack of detail inside of a text. You might convey the wrong message to others if you lack diction.

                           "That train is quite horrendous to look at!"

This text has an ample amount of diction. It shows the precise meaning and in only one word or sentence/phrase. Having enough diction allows you to use the most preeminent words at the right moment; whether it is presenting a presentation to a class, commenting on a post on the internet, or even speaking in front of a large crowd, diction is important in a great deal of things that include language arts and other things similar.
