A nutrition manager would need the following skills and competencies:

Technical skills: Nutrition managers would need the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to handle operations on a large scale.

Relationship developing skills and communication skills: A nutrition manager needs to interact with people of different positions—students, teaching staff, kitchen staff, parents, etc. These people are also in different age groups and belong to different cultures.

Creativity: The manager should be capable of planning and serving meals that are not repetitive.

Adaptability: Because a school facility caters to large numbers of people, a manager must be prepared to handle challenges and unusual situations.

Leadership and motivational skills: A nutrition manager has a large team. The manager needs to keep staff motivated and encourage them to be creative and stay calm in challenging situations.
