You intentionally shoot at a slant/diagonal.
O You create a darker exposure.
O You shoot wider, allowing room for perspective correction and cropping.

in my opinion, and this only my opinion, not everything needs to have two people kissing to be romantic. yes it , but why do we have to have people kissing, and long walks on the beach for it to be romantic? yes, these are common characteristics of romantic, but we need to look beyond that.
