What do you think is meant by this statement: “Hip Hop and rap are connected but are separate terms: Hip Hop is a culture and rap is the music of that culture”? Do you agree or disagree with this statement, and why or why not?

Hip Hop itself is the style of music that IS culture for some communities, but rap is music affiliated with that culture; the music behind it. I mean, I don't really know if you agree with this statement but I do because Hip Hop itself is music that flows through city streets and fills people with joy and music while rap is words that describe how we feel to the beat of that Hip Hop song.

i think it is more of an artistic statement, because clothing featured in these photographs and magazines is so extravagant that most people would not be even tempted to wear it, let along purchase it
