Acaba de nacer la primera rata transgénica reciclable. El nuevo animal es producto de un experimento realizado por el equipo de investigaciones del departamento de Genética Molecular que dirige el premio nobel Renato Dulbecco, en el instituto italiano de Tecnologías Biomédicas avanzadas. Esta rata podrá utilizarse varias veces para realizar experimentos y lo que permitirá salvar la vida de otros animales de laboratorio. El roedor ha sido diseñado para estudiar los efectos de tóxicos muy sensible a lo que se denomina estrés tóxico.
