The scene takes place on a film studio, and the actor uses elements found in it to accompany his performance. The first and main prop he uses is the hat,m which looks like a homburg hat he changes the shape of to represent different characters throughout  the song. He uses a piano, as well as the construction pieces of the set, a door frame with a brick wall behind, a sofa and a doll. He mainly uses them for comedic purposes, which work great and match the lyrics of the song, with the chorus "make them laugh". His performance is very clownish, using the hat similar to a clown, and dancing and jumping around like a clown would, also depicting various cartoonish elements, as crashing to a brick wall after opening a door, standing on top of the piano, jumping through a wall and things like that. The result is a piece of physical comedy using the props around that matches the tone and theme of the song.
