They used the magic oflove and friendships and dog treats and training and CGI.

In the commercial of Lance Cracker, it features a little girl sitting on the porch between two bulldogs. In the advertisement, both dogs sit up and cross legs. The dogs were trained to cross legs exactly when the girl does it. Training dogs couldn't have been easier, because they are the mischief one. Dogs were given treats while training.
